This Housing Element provides the City of Santa Fe Springs with a coordinated and comprehensive strategy for promoting the production of safe, decent, and affordable housing for all community residents. The Housing Element is a mandatory General Plan element. State law requires all cities to adopt a Housing Element and describes in detail the necessary contents. The California Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) will certify this document if it meets State law, and the Santa Fe Springs City Council will adopt this document after HCD certifies the Element later in 2021.
